Description
Perched gracefully in the enchanting Rungbong (Rangbhang) Valley near Mirik, Turzum Tea Estate stands among the celebrated gardens of Darjeeling, renowned for crafting refined orthodox teas of remarkable elegance. Nestled at an impressive elevation of over 5,600 feet in the cool Himalayan highlands, the estate is blessed with pristine mountain air, mist-laden slopes, and a climate perfectly suited for nurturing exceptional Darjeeling teas.
We are delighted to present the very first batch of the Premium First Flush 2026, freshly crafted at the dawn of the new harvest season. This rare and exquisite tea is meticulously hand-plucked from young P312 clonal bushes thriving at the highest elevations of the estate, where the slow Himalayan growth bestows extraordinary finesse upon the leaf.
The dry leaves appear bright greenish with an abundance of shimmering silver tips, a visual testament to its tender plucking standard. As the leaves unfurl, they release a captivating bouquet of fresh spring blossoms — reminiscent of cherry blossom, magnolia, and delicate tulip, gracefully layered with subtle undertones of pistachio and toasted hazelnuts.
When steeped for a full five minutes, the infusion unveils a radiant golden-yellow liquor, luminous and inviting. Each sip reveals a beautifully layered character — evoking the sweetness of sun-ripened sultana grapes, intertwined with gentle whispers of spring flowers, and finishing with a delicate trace of lemon zest and honeyed sweetness that lingers elegantly on the palate.
A truly rare and majestic First Flush Darjeeling of the 2026 harvest, capturing the very essence of springtime in the Himalayas.
